Senior Researcher

 

The Institute for Justice seeks a Senior Researcher to join its Strategic Research program.  The Senior Researcher will conduct high-quality original research to inform public policy debates on the Institute’s core issues:  property rights, economic liberty, free speech and school choice.

This new position offers an entrepreneurial researcher the opportunity to combine research with IJ’s cutting-edge constitutional litigation to make a real-world impact securing individual liberty.

A terminal degree in a social science discipline required, as is a commitment to free markets and individual liberty.  Applicants should have expertise in statistics and social science methodology, as well as experience conceptualizing, implementing and writing significant original research, experience with large datasets, and proficiency with research software.  Strong editing skills and the ability to write clearly for a general audience are essential.

Castle Coalition Maffucci Fellowship

 

The Castle Coalition is seeking fellows for its internship program. The fellowship includes assisting with exciting research projects, helping track eminent domain situations across the country, and providing valuable administrative support to staff on a variety of tasks. Interns gain inimitable experience on the front lines of the property rights movement.  
 
The Maffucci Fellowship is full-time and the duration is flexible, from 3 to 6 months. Fellows receive a monthly stipend, and undergraduates are encouraged to attempt to obtain academic credit for their work.   
 
Candidates should possess exceptional writing skills, be attentive to detail, and have a strong commitment to individual freedom and property rights as well as a familiarity with eminent domain abuse.
